The Shiv Sena (Balasaheb Uddhav Thackeray) chief said, “I still say that elections should be held today. After today’s decision, it seems that BMC elections will be held soon. Even though the Election Commission has given recognition, but a thief is a thief. We will approach the Supreme Court against the decision of the Election Commission.
‘PM should declare dictatorship’
With this, Uddhav Thackeray termed the decision of the Election Commission as dangerous for democracy. he prime minister Narendra Modi Also targeted. He said, “There is no democracy left in India. The Prime Minister should announce that dictatorship has started in the country.” Let us tell you that on Friday, the Election Commission gave a 78-page order in the Shiv Sena nomination case. In its decision, the commission allowed the Uddhav Thackeray faction to keep the ‘torch’ election symbol till the completion of the assembly bypolls in the state.
The commission said that out of the 55 winning candidates of the Shiv Sena in the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, about 76 per cent votes were cast in favor of the MLAs supporting Eknath Shinde. At the same time, 23.5 percent of the votes polled in favor of the winning candidates of the Shiv Sena went to the MLAs of the Uddhav Thackeray faction.
