Elizabeth I: 21-year-old Jaswant Singh Chail was convicted in an earlier attempt to kill the then Queen Elizabeth II of England. Jaswant Singh Chail was caught carrying a loaded crossbow in Elizabeth’s house. He confessed his crime and said that I have come to kill the queen. He was arrested on Christmas 2021 in the palace grounds, west of London.
Although Queen Elizabeth II died in December last year at the age of 96. At the same time, on the day of the attempt to kill her, she was in the palace with her son (now) King Charles and other close family members.

At the same time a crossbow was recovered from him, which was a type of supersonic X-bow. There was a possibility of serious injury due to this. Chail, from Southampton in southern England, recorded a video before entering the palace grounds, which he sent to his contact list about 10 minutes before his arrest. In the video he said, “I am sorry for what I have done and what I will do. I am going to try to assassinate Queen Elizabeth II of the royal family.”
Amritsar wanted to avenge Jallianwala Bagh
Jaswant Singh Chail had taken such a step for the people killed in the Amritsar Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919. Referring to an incident, Chail said that British soldiers shot and killed about 400 Sikhs in their holy city of Amritsar in northwestern India.
Chail was presented via video link at the Old Bailey Court in London on Friday (February 3). He was convicted of three charges of making threats to kill, possessing a weapon and under the Sedition Act. However, Judge Jeremy Baker said he would sentence Chail on March 31. The court ordered the preparation of Chail’s medical report. Chail is the first person in 40 years to be convicted under the Sedition Act of 1842.
