Mahua Moitra In Lok Sabha: During the address of Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra, there was a lot of uproar in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday (February 7). Mahua Moitra was speaking on the recently released Hindenburg report regarding Adani Group. He also used a birthday cap during his speech. He also used the word ‘objectionable’ when he was interrupted by BJP members.
Mahua Moitra said that today as soon as an opposition MP speaks something, the ruling party does not allow him to speak. We can neither speak China, nor BBC, nor Morbi, nor Rafale, even Modi ji cannot speak. Opposition MPs are forced to walk out.
Attack on Adani
He further said that I will talk about the most famous person in this country at the moment, he is not PM Modi. The name of these famous person starts with A and ends with I, they are not even Advani. I will call him A during my speech and call his group A-company. We are fooled. I have brought this cap with me because this person has worn the cap to the whole country.
Strong ruckus during Mahua Moitra’s address
There was a lot of uproar in the House when Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra took off her cap. The TMC MP also questioned why the FPO of the Adani group was recently approved without completing the investigation report. He ended his speech by demanding a thorough probe into the alleged irregularities in the Adani Group.
During this, the ruckus increased further after Mahua Moitra used an ‘objectionable’ word on the floor of the House. Bharatiya Janata Party leaders strongly objected to Mahua Moitra’s remarks and demanded an apology from her.
Use of the word ‘objectionable’
Mahua Moitra’s ‘objectionable’ words were recorded in the microphone during TDP leader Ram Mohan Naidu’s speech in the Lok Sabha. Then the speaker said that nothing would go on record. Some very harsh and objectionable words have been used. I will ask the Parliamentary Affairs Minister to talk to the party (TMC).
Meanwhile, senior BJP leader and Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi said that he will talk to the leader of the TMC party in the Lok Sabha. Joshi said, “I will ask her to apologise, but if she doesn’t do that then it is her culture.”
