Rahul Gandhi in Lok Sabha: There has been a lot of uproar during Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s speech in the Lok Sabha. Rahul Gandhi made a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Modi) on the issue of Adani in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday (February 7). Rahul Gandhi accused PM Modi of helping Gautam Adani to grow his business. On this the BJP also retaliated. As Rahul Gandhi was making allegations, he was being vehemently denied by the BJP.
1. Rahul Gandhi said in the House that in the last four months, we did Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. Got to learn a lot during this. During this, got a chance to deeply listen to the voice of the people. There has been an old tradition of walking, but in today’s politics it has been forgotten, leaders go in helicopters. After 500-600 km, the voice of the public started being heard properly.
2. He said that after walking a few hundred kilometers, the journey started speaking to us. Mainly issues related to unemployment, inflation, farmers were raised by the people. The youth complained about the Agniveer scheme. Senior officers of the army said that the Agniveer scheme has not come from the army but from the RSS. This will increase violence in the society. NSA Ajit Doval has imposed this scheme on the army. The youth said that earlier they used to get 15 years of service, now they will be fired after 4 years.
3. After besieging the government on the Agniveer scheme, Rahul Gandhi strongly attacked the Center on the issue of Adani. He said that only one name was heard all over India – Adani. They enter into any business and never fail. Earlier he used to do one or two businesses. Now they have entered 8-10 sectors. People asked me how did Adani ji’s net worth become $140 billion from 2014 to 2022. He was at number 609 in the list of the world’s rich, don’t know what kind of magic happened and he reached number two.
4. Rahul Gandhi said that Adani ji should talk about apples in Himachal, Adani ji should talk about apples in Kashmir. People asked how Adani ji became so successful and what is his relation with the Prime Minister of the country. He also alleged that the rules were changed by the Modi government so that the Adani group could get contracts for six airports. During this, Rahul Gandhi showed a photo in which PM Modi and Adani are seen together. The speaker told Rahul that poster betting will not work, it is not in the rules. Many BJP MPs also raised objections.
5. On this, Law Minister Kiren Rijiju hit back and said, “Don’t make baseless allegations, give evidence.” Rijiju told Rahul Gandhi, “Now you are a senior parliamentarian. You should speak with responsibility. We expect you to be serious in Parliament. You can say whatever you want outside.” Rahul Gandhi said that earlier it was a rule that those who do not have experience, who are not in airport work, cannot participate in that work. This rule has been changed. After this, Mumbai airport was hijacked from GVK using the agency and given to Adani.
6. BJP MPs shouted that privatization started when Congress was in power and they handed over airport contracts to companies like GVK who had no business experience. BJP leaders said Rahul Gandhi should talk about the “Ashok Gehlot-Adani relationship”, citing Adani’s Rs 65,000 crore donation at the “Rajasthan Investment Summit” in the Congress-ruled state last year. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey said that I challenge the Congress. You are accusing the PM. You have to prove it. Can’t make such allegations.
7. Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said that Rahul Gandhi should make allegations with evidence. You are blaming the PM. Rahul Gandhi is making baseless allegations without any facts. BJP leaders also said that they cannot take Doval’s name in Parliament. On this, Rahul Gandhi said, “Why can’t you take it, you can definitely take it. There are only a few of them in Parliament, why can’t I take their names? They are not members of Parliament.”
8. Rahul Gandhi again continued his attack on the issue of Adani. He said the relationship between Adani and the PM began many years ago when Narendra Modi Was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. The real magic started after PM Modi went to Delhi. Adani had no experience in the defense sector, drone sector, but still he got contracts related to it. Earlier Adani used to go in Modi’s plane, now Modi goes in Adani’s plane.
9. Taking a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said that he made baseless, shameful and careless allegations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Parliament. Congress itself has been involved in big scams, due to which the image of the country has been tarnished.
10. Ravi Shankar Prasad also mentioned the National Herald case and the AgustaWestland scam case to attack the Gandhi family. He said that it is time to refresh the memory of Rahul Gandhi regarding corruption. He alleged that Rahul Gandhi, his mother Sonia Gandhi and his son-in-law Robert Vadra are out on bail. Corruption and patronizing the corrupt have been the history of Rahul Gandhi and his family.
