Shashi Tharoor on Cow Hug Day: On Saturday (February 11), Congress MP Shashi Tharoor took a jibe at the Central Government and the Animal Welfare Board of India for withdrawing the Cow Hug Day appeal.
Congress leader Shashi Tharoor tweeted, “I believe there was a verbal instruction to let people hug their partner (Guy) on Valentine’s Day, but the Hindi nationalist heard the last word ‘Guy’ as ‘Gaay’.” .” He questioned whether the government was scared of the jokes at its expense or was it simply cowardice? The Animal Welfare Board of India withdrew the notice in which it appealed to the people to celebrate ‘Cow Hug Day’ on 14 February. It was said in the notice that hugging cows would bring emotional prosperity and increase collective happiness.
What is the matter?
The Animal Welfare Board of India had issued a notice urging people to celebrate Valentine’s Day as ‘Cow Hug Day’, but it has now been withdrawn. Many people are making fun of this by making memes.

Whose idea is it?
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh also took a jibe on Friday (February 10) after the Cow Hug Day appeal was withdrawn, asking whose brainchild it was. He tweeted, “First of all tell who the idea was?”
