Turkey Earthquake, Operation Dost: Following the values of care, compassion and humanity, the Indian Army is running ‘Operation Dost’ in Turkey. Its purpose is to save the earthquake victims. Indian Army personnel are engaged in relief and rescue operations on a war footing. Some such pictures have come to the fore, in which jawans can be seen helping the victims.
A Turkish national named Furkan told news agency ANI, “I am really thankful to them (Indian relief forces) because they were the first group that reached. This is the first time I have met a group of Indians and I cannot describe my feelings. I call them ‘friends’ but I see them as brothers and sisters.
Indian Army’s 60 Para Field Hospital helping earthquake victims
The Indian Army’s 60 Para Field Hospital in a school building in a place called Hatay is treating the victims. A video of this has come to the fore, in which Indian soldiers are seen putting the tricolor written Operation Dost on the railing. This temporary hospital of the Indian Army has been functioning since Thursday (February 9), in which surgery and emergency wards have also been made.

Lieutenant Colonel Adarsh gave this information
Military officer Lieutenant Colonel Adarsh said that 60 Para Field Hospital is a part of the Para-Brigade of the Indian Army. Soon after reaching here the hospital was set up in a school building. It has lab and X-ray facilities.
On Friday (10 February), another field hospital at Iskenderun treated 106 casualties. Meanwhile, 841 cartons of medicines, security protection equipment and diagnostics weighing 6.19 tonnes were also sent from India to Turkey and Syria.
The Hatay Field Hospital’s 99-member team includes 13 doctors, ortho and general surgeons, oral maxillofacial surgeons, community medicine specialists, logistics officers and three medical officers.

‘Such people also came who were pulled out of the debris after 3 days’
Lieutenant Colonel Adarsh told news agency ANI, “We also had people who were pulled out of the debris after three days. We rectified them and are providing all possible help. We did a 3.5 hour long difficult surgery at 3.30 am a day ago. The patient’s condition is stable and has been referred to tertiary care in Adana today. ”””” The military officer told that we have received 350 patients on Friday and 200 patients since today (Saturday) morning.
