‘If the cow hits us…’, Mamata Banerjee taunts the Center regarding Cow Hug Day

Mamata Banerjee on Cow Hug Day: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee while addressing the assembly on Monday (February 13) lashed out at the BJP. On the controversy over Cow Hug Day, he said that they are asking us to hug cows on Valentine’s Day, what if the cow hits us with its horns? I would have no objection to doing it, but BJP should give us insurance of Rs 10 lakh before taking this adventure. Also Rs 20 lakh insurance for hugging the buffalo.

In fact, the AWBI, which comes under the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying of the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying of the Center, had appealed to celebrate Valentine’s Day i.e. February 14 as Cow Hug Day. After this appeal, there was a lot of mockery on social media. Later the Animal Welfare Board (AWBI) withdrew this appeal.

Retaliated on JP Nadda’s statement

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee further said that the BJP has stooped so low that it insulted a Nobel laureate (Amartya Sen). Big allegation on BSF

He also claimed that the BSF had ‘spread terror’ in the border areas. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that BSF has spread terror in the border areas of West Bengal. Innocent people are being killed in the border areas. The Center does not bother to send investigative teams to investigate these killings.

Called to defeat BJP
