Sana Ram Chand Gulwani: Sana Ramchand Gulwani is the first Hindu woman who has become Assistant Commissioner in Pakistan. She has been appointed as Assistant Commissioner and Administrator in Punjab Province. Sana passed the Central Superior Service (CSS) in 2020. Sana is also an MBBS doctor by profession. She became the first woman from the Hindu community to join the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) after passing the Central Superior Services (CSS) exam in 2020. Gulwani has passed the exam in his first attempt.
In 2016, he graduated from Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University as Urologist with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. Only after this she started preparing for the CSS exam and succeeded in it.
On her success, she said, “I don’t know whether I am the first or not, but (I) have never heard of any (woman) from my community appearing for the exam.”

It has been told in ‘Dawn’ newspaper that he has taken charge as Assistant Commissioner and Administrator in Hasanabdal town of Attock district. It has also been revealed in the reports that Gulwani has passed this exam in his very first attempt. Many activists of the Hindu community there tell that she has become the first Pakistani woman from the community to pass this exam since partition.
Explain that Hindus are the largest minority community in Pakistan. According to official estimates, there are 75 lakh Hindus living in the country. Most of the Hindu population of Pakistan is settled in Sindh province.
According to the data of the Statistics Bureau of Pakistan, in 1998 the total population there was 132.3 million. Out of that 1.6% i.e. 21.11 lakh was Hindu population. In 1998, 96.3% of Pakistan’s population was Muslim and 3.7% was non-Muslim. Whereas, in 2017, the population of Pakistan has increased to more than 20.77 crores. Whereas, in an answer given in the Lok Sabha in March 2017, it was said by the Central Government that according to the 1998 census, the Hindu population in Pakistan is 1.6% i.e. about 30 lakhs.
