The central government of India and the government of different states run many scholarship schemes for the students. The purpose of these scholarship programs is to provide financial assistance to such deserving students who have talent, but are left behind due to their poor financial condition. The number one scholarship program is KVPY Kishore Vaigyanik
This scholarship program is given by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India to those students who want to do research in science in future. Students who have passed 12th with more than 75% marks have to clear KVPY exam to get this scholarship. As soon as they pass this exam, students are given scholarship to do research in science in future.
AICTE Scholarship Program
This scholarship program is dedicated to human resources and It is run by the Ministry of Development. Through such scholarship program, financial assistance is given to the students studying in the field of technology. For this, 12th pass students have to take admission in AICTE approved institutes. If you are selected for this scholarship program, then you are given a scholarship program of Rs 2000 for degree and diploma courses. 1000 scholarship is reserved for differently-abled girl students.
Ratan Tata Scholarship Program
This scholarship program is specially run for those students who Want to study engineering abroad. Tata Trust gives scholarship to the students only on the basis of merit. However, only those students who are Indian citizens and have done their graduation from Cornell University are considered eligible for such scholarship program. Tata Trusts selects around 20 students every year under the scholarship program and pays their full fees themselves.
Central Sector Scholarship Program
The Central Government and This scholarship program is run by the Human Resource Department of the State Government for the students pursuing graduation and post graduation. Under this, scholarship is given to those students who have secured 80% or more marks in their 12th examination. Along with this, scholarship is available only to those who have done regular business course in any reputed institute of the country. To top it all, 50% of the scholarship has been reserved for girls.
