Iran Couple Arrest: Recently a video went viral from Iran, in which a couple was dancing on the roadside. This video came into the notice of the police as soon as it went viral. After this, both were sentenced to 10 years and 6 months for openly dancing on the road.
Both the couples were dancing on Tuesday (January 31) at the Freedom Square of the country’s capital Tehran in support of women’s freedom. In this video, 21-year-old Astiyazh Haghighi was with her 22-year-old fiance Amir Mohammad Amiri. During this, Astiyaz Haghighi was not even wearing a hijab.
There is strictness on these things in Iran
There are very strict rules for women in Iran. There women are required to wear hijab. Women cannot dance in public places. Promoting adulterous things and creating obstruction in national security is considered a serious crime. According to the report of the news agency, the use of internet services has also been banned.

Imprisoned in the infamous Kurchak Jail
The news agency quoted their families as saying that the accused couple were denied lawyers during the court proceedings, while their attempts to be released on bail were rejected. It says Haghighi is now in the infamous Kurchak prison for women outside Tehran.
Haghighi and her fiance Amiri are quite famous on the social media platform Instagram. Both have about 1 million followers on Instagram. Both also have separate YouTube channels. There are millions of subscribers on his YouTube channel as well.
