BJP Slams Mamata Banerjee on Her Remark on Budget 2023: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has reacted to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s statement of ‘anti-poor budget’. On behalf of BJP, Leader of Opposition in West Bengal Legislative Assembly Shuvendu Adhikari (Suvendu Adhikari) responded to CM Mamta’s statement.
According to news agency ANI, Shubhendu Adhikari said, “CM Mamata Banerjee cannot politically compete with the Union Budget 2023, so she is making baseless allegations.” The poor people are happy with the budget.

CM Mamta Banerjee said on Wednesday (February 1) about the Union Budget 2023-24 presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, “It is an anti-poor budget and not futuristic.” This is a completely opportunistic budget. ‘Budget prepared in view of 2024 Lok Sabha elections’
Let us inform that in a program at Bolpur in Birbhum district of West Bengal, Mamta Banerjee had said that only one section will get benefit from this budget. He had said that the budget of the Modi government will not help in solving the problem of unemployment. With this, CM Mamta accused the central government that the budget has been prepared keeping in view the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Mamta Banerjee surrounded the government saying that no one would be benefited by making changes in the income tax slab. At the same time, he had said, “Give me half an hour, I will tell you how to prepare a budget for the benefit of the poor.”
