It is also known as Mahuadev in some areas. Experts say that this crop is mainly found in forest areas. For this reason, tribals living in forest areas use this crop as a vegetable in food. Whereas, when it is cultivated, it is sold in the market as a fruit.
Awareness program being run by the central and state governments
In order to increase the yield of Mahua, an awareness program is also being run from the Central Government level. The state government is also making efforts in this direction. The center has made available the technology to collect Mahua fruits in green net. With this technique, farmers will be able to collect Mahua of good quality. How to dry Mahua and use it. Mahua flower processing unit has also been established to promote Mahua in Guruwahi village of Manpur block of Umaria district. Many people have also got employment from this unit.
