‘Against secular image…’, India lashed out at Pakistan in UN, also on Kashmir

India Over Kashmir In United Nations: India has strongly reacted to Pakistan raising the Kashmir issue during the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) meeting. Counselor Rajesh Parihar in the Permanent Mission of India to the UN said on Monday (February 6) that Islamabad was repeatedly lying about India. India has criticized Pakistan, saying that there is a deep sense of insecurity in Islamabad and it has conspired to spread hatred against India and its secular image.

What did the UN Permanent Mission Counselor say?

Counselor in India’s Permanent Mission Rajesh Parihar said at the UNGA, “I felt the need to use this forum to respond to the despicable remarks made by the representative of Pakistan against my country.” This kind of statement by Pakistan, which has the mentality of resorting to lies again and again, deserves our sympathy. Also, for me, it is important to keep saying the right thing.

Parihar said that whatever the representative of Pakistan may believe, the Union Territories of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh have always been, are and always will be an integral and integral part of India. Don’t expect anything new from someone who harbors a deep sense of insecurity and plots hatred against India’s secular image and values.

In fact, after the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution of the Indian Parliament on August 5, 2019, to end the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, the tension between the two countries increased.

Condolences on Syria and Turkey

Earlier, Counselor of India’s Permanent Mission to the UN, Rajesh Parihar expressed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the devastating earthquake in Syria and Turkey on Monday. He said, “India stands in solidarity with the people of Syria and Turkey and is ready to provide all possible help to deal with this tragedy.”
