Fund for G-20 Summit 2023: For the G20 conference, the work of rejuvenation of the national capital Delhi has started. However, the budget of the Delhi government is falling short in this work, so the Kejriwal government has now sought help from the Centre. Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has written a letter to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman asking for funds for this.
Manish Sisodia wrote in his letter, “It is a matter of pride to have the G-20 summit in Delhi.” Deputy CM Sisodia further wrote, “Rs 927 crore is needed for special preparations for the G-20 summit.” He said, “The Delhi government does not get any funds in the Union budget, so additional funds should be given for the preparations for the G20.” Sisodia said, “The central government should release money to speed up the preparations for the G20.”
Many projects have been approved

According to information, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has approved a project worth Rs 17.5 crore for the beautification and strengthening of Mathura Road, Bhairon Marg and Ring Road around ITPO Complex.
Focus on beautifying the roads

According to a report of NBT, the biggest budget requirement of about Rs 448.37 crore has been mentioned from PWD. Due to this, beautification work has started on major parts around Airport Road and Pragati Maidan. Other departments like MCD require Rs 249.34 crore, I&FC Rs 73.69 crore and Tourism department Rs 71.56 crore.
