Delhi Police on IndiGo CEO Impersonation Case: In the case of online fraud from the employees of IndiGo Airlines, Delhi Police has got important information. The police have discovered two such IP addresses which belong to Kenya. Explain that the device can be identified on the Internet or local network through the IP (Internet Protocol) address.
An employee of the airlines had lodged a complaint with the police that someone posing as the CEO of the company had asked the employees to buy gift cards from Amazon’s website.
Order was received from WhatsApp calls and messages
According to the news of Indian Express, Delhi Police has said that Indigo officials had received WhatsApp calls and messages from a person who called himself the CEO and asked them to buy Google gift cards from Amazon.
Government of Kenya, help will be taken from WhatsApp and Google
DCP (IFSO) Prashant Gautam said, “After analyzing the call detail records of the mobile number from which the calls were made and further technical surveillance, we have traced the whereabouts of the accused in Kenya and information about the accused.” Will write to his government, WhatsApp and Google to provide further information.
The case was registered on 8 February
The Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit of Delhi Police had registered an FIR in this regard on 8 February. In the FIR, the complainant has said that our employees of Indigo are getting mischievous and misleading calls from a mobile number. Using this mobile number, the person is telling himself as Peter Albers, Chief Executive Officer of Indigo.
