Under the Rajasthan Government’s Farm Pond Scheme, 85% subsidy or Rs 3 lakh 40,000 is being given to small and marginal farmers for making 400 cubic meter to 1200 cubic meter raw farm pond or plastic lining farm pond. On the other hand, 75 percent subsidy of the cost or a grant of Rs 3 lakh is given to the general category farmers.

how to apply
A grant will be given by the Rajasthan government for the construction of a farm pond of minimum 400 cubic meter and maximum 1200 cubic meter size. If you also want to take advantage of this scheme, then you can apply on the Raj Kisan Saathi portal.

How to make farm pond
After the application is approved by the Rajasthan Agriculture Department and after getting the benefits, the farmer will have to arrange laborers, tractor or JCB etc. at his own expense. The length and width of the pond should be 24.5 meters, the bottom surface should be 15.5 meters and the depth should be only 3 meters. It would be better if leaving 1 meter space from the pond, make a fence at a height of 1 meter.
If you want, you can get the fencing done with mesh wires. With this, children, elders or animals can also be saved from falling into the lock. According to the rules, for farm ponds with plastic lining, a small 300 micron plastic sheet of a registered brand from the Department of Agriculture will also have to be installed.
