Jammu and Kashmir needs love, but got BJP’s bulldozer, said Rahul Gandhi

Jammu Kashmir Anti-Encroachment Drive: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday (February 12) attacked the BJP over the ongoing anti-encroachment campaign in Jammu and Kashmir. The Congress MP said the union territory wanted employment, business and love, but instead it got the “bulldozer of the BJP”. Major political parties like Congress, National Conference and PDP have raised their voice against this campaign and demanded to stop it immediately.

On January 7, Commissioner Secretary, Revenue Department, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri had directed all the Deputy Commissioners to remove 100 percent encroachment from Jammu and Kashmir. Since then, encroachment has been removed from more than 10 lakh kanals (one kanal = 605 square yards) of land in Jammu and Kashmir.

Rahul Gandhi tweeted

In a tweet, Rahul Gandhi said, “Jammu and Kashmir needed employment, better business and love, but what did they get? BJP’s bulldozer. The land that the people of that place had irrigated with hard work for many decades, is being snatched from them.” Peace and Kashmiriyat will be protected by uniting, not by dividing and dividing people.” Rahul Gandhi also tagged a media report which claimed that this campaign has created panic in Jammu and Kashmir.
