Mehbooba Mufti Attack On BJP: Politics has now started on the ongoing bulldozer action on illegal encroachments in Jammu and Kashmir. Former Chief Minister and PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti has targeted the BJP regarding this matter. Mehbooba Mufti compared Kashmir with countries like Afghanistan and Palestine. The PDP chief said, “BJP has made its majority a cruel weapon to destroy the constitution of the country.”
He alleged that the BJP is also using the media as its weapon to suppress the voice of the people. He alleged that the BJP is now trying to suppress the judiciary as well. Mehbooba said, “First of all, 370 was removed, media was banned and now efforts are being made to curb the judiciary.”

He further said, “If you go to Kashmir now, it will look like Afghanistan because bulldozers are being used there. People are being driven out of their land in the name of encroachment. People are being targeted and bulldozed. Jobs, land and minerals have been outsourced.”
Afghanistan-Palestine comparison
He further said, “Earlier we used to think that BJP has learned from what Israel does to Palestine but now they have left it behind. They want to make Jammu and Kashmir like Afghanistan.” The PDP chief said, “I compare it with Palestine because the BJP government is acting like the East-India Company in Kashmir.” He added, “Palestine is still better, their people talk. Here it is even worse. People’s houses are being demolished with bulldozers.”
Serious allegations made on BJP
“Violence suits the BJP. They are now talking about one religion in the country. One language and one country.” Appealing to the opposition leaders, Mehbooba Mufti said, “We request the leaders of the opposition parties that you speak, we have joined hands with India and not with Pakistan. Jammu and Kashmir was called Taj, today it is going through difficulties.” Everyone has a roof in Kashmir. The BJP thought that if it cannot make the country like Jammu and Kashmir, then make Jammu and Kashmir like the country. Houses are being demolished.”
Questions raised on bulldozer action
Attacking the bulldozer action, the PDP chief asked, “Will Raj Bhavan be demolished? Nehru Guest House, Shankaracharya Temple are also shown in encroachment. Will they be demolished too?” He further said, “Their hate politics starts from Jammu-Kashmir. After abolishing 370 from Jammu-Kashmir, our identity has ended. People are suffering the oppression of NIA-ED. Today people are crying and crying. All the resources have been given to outsiders.”
