The SGPC delegation said that any kind of interference in the matter of Sikh identity would not be tolerated. The delegation said that helmets cannot be allowed on the heads of Sikh soldiers under any circumstances. Objection placed before the National Minorities Commission
Delegation of SGPC participated in the meeting at the office of the National Commission for Minorities in New Delhi on Friday. The delegation included SGPC general secretary Gurcharan Singh Grewal and SGPC member Raghbir Singh Saharan Majra. The delegation lodged a strong objection to the government’s reported proposal to include helmets for Sikh soldiers before the National Commission for Minorities, Iqbal Singh Lalpura.
