According to the report, in the case of Pakistan, both the Pakistan Democratic Movement i.e. PDM and PTI governments were included in the data evaluated. According to the CPI 2022 report, Pakistan has also continued its statistically significant downward trend. In the midst of political upheaval, it has brought its lowest score to 27 points since 2012.
How is the ranking of corruption released?
Imran Khan (Imran Khan) came to power promising to tackle large-scale corruption and promote social and economic reforms, but nothing has been achieved on any of these fronts since taking over the reins in 2018. According to experts, every year a list of rankings of 180 countries and territories is prepared based on the perceived levels of corruption in the public sector.
This ranking is decided by Transparency International of Germany using a scale of 0 to 100 points. This index is prepared by the organization after assessing the levels of corruption present in the public sector. The list of countries is made according to the status of corruption. If we compare with Pakistan in this matter, then there is very less corruption in India. India has got 85th ranking in the Corruption Perception Index (CPI).
