Natural Farming: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has made big announcements in the budget for the agriculture sector. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that farmers adopting natural farming will get full support. There is a plan to connect about 1 crore farmers with this mission in the next 3 years. To make natural farming easier, the government will open 10,000 Bio Input Research Centers. From now on, the emphasis will be on micro fertilizer in the country. Along with this, the special focus of the government is going to be on Mystery Man Grown Plantation.
Promotion of agriculture start ups
Along with agriculture, start-ups related to agriculture will also be promoted in the country. Efforts will be made to connect youth with this mission in rural areas. For this, the government will also set up an Agriculture Accelerator Fund. Focusing on animal husbandry, dairy and fisheries, the agri loan target has also been increased to Rs 20 lakh crore.
Agricultural storage capacity will increase
Storage capacity will be developed in the agriculture sector to make the crop produce reach to the safe customers. This will not only help the farmers in safe keeping of their produce, as well as increase the income by selling the produce at the right time. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that in the next 5 years, there is a target of setting up co-operative societies, primary fisheries societies and dairy co-operative societies on a large scale in the deprived villages, for which every facility and help will be provided.
