Some agricultural products have also got GI tag. Taking forward this strategy, APEDA is going to develop a market of excellent agri products, which will be branded in the name of rivers. Indian restaurants will become APEDA’s support 
According to media reports, APEDA is currently focusing on Indian restaurants abroad to promote Indian agri products and increase their availability and consumption. has been.

Giving information in this matter, APEDA President M. Angamuthu says that India’s GI tag products are being well-liked on foreign soil. These products are getting good response in the market. In this context, last year we have exported more than 101 GI tagged products.

To increase the export of agriculture, APEDA is now planning to associate with Indian restaurants abroad, as they play an important role in increasing the acceptance of agricultural products of India. Let us tell you that there are more than 1.5 Indian restaurants in other countries.

Agriculture export network is spread in more than 200 countries 
Giving information about India’s agricultural export network, APEDA President M. Angamuthu says that last year more than 200 countries in India India has exported indigenous agricultural products, whereas in the last 10 years India’s fruits, vegetables and grains were reaching only 150 countries.

Today India’s agriculture sector has become much stronger than before. We are at the eighth position in terms of agricultural exports. Which is planned to be included in the top 5 countries by the year 2030. APEDA has an important role in this plan.

If we look at the export figures, APEDA has done a business of $ 17.4351 billion through agricultural exports in the current season from April to November, whereas in the previous financial year it was limited to $ 15.072 billion. During the rainy season of 2021-22, a boom was seen in Indian agricultural exports. APEDA has exported $ 24.74 billion during this period.
