They say that such things cause harm and also spoil the environment. It should not happen.
According to the news agency PTI, he said that India aspires to increase its influence as a soft power, so such incidents spoil the atmosphere. He said that if anyone has a problem with a film, they should talk to the concerned government department. He should take up such issues with the filmmakers.
What did Anurag Thakur say?
Anurag Thakur said, “At a time when India is keen to increase its influence as a soft power, at a time when Indian films are making waves in every corner of the world, such things vitiate the atmosphere.” He further said, “If anyone has any problem (with the film) then they should talk to the concerned department who will take it to the producer and director, but sometimes some people try to vitiate the atmosphere by not knowing anything completely. Let’s comment on it before. Due to which there is a problem. It should not happen.”
Anurag Thakur on OTT content
Actually, Anurag Thakur reached Mumbai on the occasion of the inauguration of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Film Festival. In this film festival, 58 films from the regional group of 8 Eurasian countries will be screened. On this occasion, he also talked about OTT content. He said, “There should be no restriction on creativity.” He said that the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting receives complaints regarding content on OTT platforms, but about 95 percent of the complaints are resolved at the producer’s level and the remaining issues are resolved with the association of publishers. .
