Shimla Mirch Production: Farmers in the country earn lakhs of rupees by doing farming with technical understanding. Farmers also try to get good yield. Scientists are also constantly trying to prepare such seeds, by sowing which farmers can get good yield. The new species developed by the scientists require less water. The cost comes down, while the earning is bumper. Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Shimla has prepared such seed of Shimla crop for hilly states. Farmers can get up to two and a half times the yield by growing this seed.
Farmers will be able to get 50 quintals per hectare production
Farmers will be able to produce bumper with this seed. Scientists say that Hybrid capsicum 562 seed has been developed. With this, farmers will be able to produce 35 quintals per hectare. Till now only 20 quintals per hectare was being produced in these states. But by irrigating the crop of new species, the farmers will be able to get up to two and a half times the yield. On getting irrigation, crop production will increase up to 50 quintals per hectare.
Farmers will be able to sow in these states
Scientists say that the state-specific environment, soil, availability of irrigation and other factors have also been kept in mind for developing the new species. From this point of view, the environment of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu Kashmir, Uttarakhand has been found favorable for seeds. Farmers will be able to get good yield by sowing it here.
Himachal got 200 quintal breeder seed
Scientists of ICAR Shimla have prepared hybrid seeds for three hilly states of the country. ICAR Shimla Center will provide 300 quintal breeder seeds to these three states. Out of this, 200 quintals of breeder seed will go to the account of Himachal alone.
100 kg breeder seed, 2000 quintal seed is ready
ICAR is also providing Shimla breed seed to the State Governments. Scientists say that 2000 quintals of seed can be prepared from 100 kg of breeder seed. Having so many seeds makes the sowing process easier for the farmers. Farmers do not have to wander for seeds. The state government makes seeds easily available.
