According to a notification issued by the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, from April 1, all vehicles belonging to the central and state governments, including buses owned by transport corporations and public sector undertakings, if they are more than 15 years old Their registration will be cancelled. However, this order will not apply to special purpose vehicles (armoured and other special vehicles) being used for operational purposes for the defense of the country and maintenance of law and order and internal security.
Air pollution will also improve!
Union Minister Gadkari said, “Old buses and cars were causing pollution. Therefore, by banning their operation, the proposal to bring new vehicles in their place has been approved.” He said, “This will reduce air pollution to a great extent.” Explain that in this policy announced in the Union Budget 2021-22, there is a provision of fitness test after 20 years for private vehicles and after 15 years for commercial vehicles.
