Union Budget 2023: Now our farmers will not be limited only to crop production, but will also work to boost the rural economy through agricultural startups and agri business. Presenting the budget 2023-24 in this regard, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman told that the eyes of the whole country were fixed on this budget. Now our government will promote agricultural startups in rural areas as well. For this, Krishi Vardhak Nidhi i.e. Agriculture Accelerator Fund will also be established, in which the youth of the village and other young entrepreneurs will be encouraged. This is said to be an important step towards the goal of doubling the income of the farmers, because the biggest problem faced by the farmers is the market.

Farmers are also being linked to processing and value addition to get better prices for their produce, but capital investment is a big issue, from where to get such huge funds? The government has announced the establishment of Agriculture Accelerator Fund as a solution to this problem. With this, farmers are expected to get technical cooperation along with financial help.

Presenting the Budget 2023-24 in the Parliament House, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that to increase the pace of agriculture, a special fund called Agriculture Accelerator Fund will be set up, which will encourage agri innovation in rural areas, so that our youth can also become farmers. To solve the challenges facing us, new products can be created and productivity can be increased. With this, new means of income will be created and employment opportunities will also open.

Establishment of Digital Public Infrastructure
Giving a boost to agriculture, a digital public infrastructure will be formed, which will work as an open source, open standard and interoperable public good, which will help in developing solutions to agricultural and farmer-centric problems for crop planning. Access to agricultural inputs, insurance, loans to farmers will improve.

Cotton production will increase
Modern techniques will be promoted to increase production and productivity in agriculture, which will also help in earning good profits. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that cluster based and value chain approach will be adopted through PPP model to further improve the productivity of cotton. In this, mutual cooperation of farmers, states and industries will be established, which will also help in input supply, extension service and market linkage.
