BJP Candidates For Arunachal And West Bengal By-Poll: BJP has released the list of candidates for the Arunachal Pradesh and West Bengal assembly by-elections. BJP has fielded Tsering Lhamu from Lumla assembly seat in Arunachal Pradesh. On the other hand, Dilip Saha will contest from Sagardighi seat in West Bengal. BJP’s national general secretary Arun Singh has stamped the names of the candidates.
Let us first talk about the Sagardighi seat of West Bengal. Voting will be held here on February 27 and results will be declared on March 2. The Trinamul Congress will give a tough fight to the BJP here on the state’s power. Debasish Banerjee will contest the election on Trinamool Congress ticket. Please tell that after the death of the MLA present here, the by-election became necessary. Subrata Saha of Trinamool Congress won this seat with a huge margin in the 2021 assembly elections.
Competition between TMC and BJP
Saha defeated Kalpana Ghosh of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by a margin of 50,206 votes. This time also the contest on this seat will be between Trinamool and BJP. Sagardighi assembly constituency is in Murshidabad district of Bengal. This seat was earlier reserved for Scheduled Castes. The Sagardighi assembly constituency is a part of the Jangipur Lok Sabha constituency.
Let us tell you that voting will be held in Sagardighi on February 27 while the results will be declared on March 2. The last date for filing nomination is February 7. The date of scrutiny of nominations has been fixed for February 8. February 10 is the last date for withdrawal of nominations.

Election fever has risen on the Lumla assembly seat in Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh, bordering China. The by-election was necessitated on this seat on November 2, 2021 after the sudden demise of Chief Minister Pema Khandu’s cousin, sitting MLA and BJP leader Jambe Tashi. BJP had won 49 seats in the 2019 assembly elections, whose number has now increased to 48. With this, Congress has 4 seats in the assembly, NPP also has 4 and independents have 3 seats. Here too, voting will be held on February 27 and the results will come on March 2.
