Chhattisgarh Politics: Chhattisgarh BJP co-incharge Nitin Naveen on Tuesday (January 31) attacked the Congress government for not completing houses under the PM Awas Yojana in the state. Nitin Naveen is on a two-day tour of Chhattisgarh. He held a meeting with the office bearers of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha at the BJP state office in Raipur on Tuesday. Along with this, he also held meetings with many other organizations.
Addressing a press conference after the meeting, he said, “We are getting tremendous response under our ‘More Housing, More Rights’ campaign. This government has violated its promise under PM Awas Yojana by not allocating funds The state government has deprived lakhs of people who could have had their own homes.”
“Countdown begins for Baghel government”
He said, “I hope that the way the atmosphere is being created against the Bhupesh government on the ground, the countdown of the Bhupesh Baghel government has started now.” The BJP is running a ‘Mor Awas Mor Adhikar’ campaign to attack the Congress government in Chhattisgarh and highlight alleged cases of non-construction of houses under the PM Awas Yojana in the state. However, the Congress has denied such allegations and said that work has not been done due to “inadequate allocation” from the central government.
“Getting very good response at Panchayat level”
Nitin Naveen said, “Today we reviewed the entire program. From monitoring of social media to meetings on 80 different fronts at different levels, meetings were held with Panchayati Raj.” He said that the party is getting very good response at the panchayat level.
Responding to claims that senior party members are alleging that they are not being given space along with new members, Naveen said it is a part of the transition. He said that we will protest in the upcoming assembly and the dates for the state level demonstrations will also be decided soon. We have also reviewed the preparations for the assembly which will be held between February 11-20.
