Why is PAK, the stronghold of terrorists, bleeding?

The land of Pakistan has been considered a stronghold of terrorists. Most of the terrorist organizations of the world used the land of Pakistan. From Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden to Jaish-e-Mohammed leader Masood Azhar, Mumbai terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed, the Pakistani government gave shelter to many dreaded terrorists. Now Pakistan is paying the price for it. In recent months, the problems in Pakistan have increased a lot due to TTP. From common man to army officers are also being targeted.

Bigger challenge than TTP

Pakistan has been claiming that TTP attacks have increased since the Taliban took over power in Afghanistan. TTP members have been carrying out terrorist incidents for the last several years. The TTP has been pressing for the implementation of Sharia law in the country, the release of its arrested comrades and reducing the deployment of the Pakistan Army in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. TTP commander Umar Khalid Khursani’s murder in Afghanistan in August last year has also angered the terrorists of the organization and are targeting a large number of common people and soldiers.

How many attacks in last 22 years?

Pakistan, which has been carrying out terrorist activities in other countries, is now falling prey to it itself. There has been a tremendous increase in the number of terrorist attacks in the country. According to the South Asia Terrorism Portal, about 16,000 terrorist attacks took place in the last 22 years in Pakistan, the stronghold of terrorists. 28,918 people lost their lives in these attacks. Apart from common citizens, Pakistani army and police personnel are also included in these.

Last year also there was a big blast in the mosque

Last year in 2022 itself, there were more than 350 attacks, in which more than 500 civilians and soldiers died. Last year in Peshawar itself, there was a big explosion inside a Shia Mosque in Kocha Risaldar area, in which 63 people were killed. During this, more than 190 people were also injured. The responsibility of this blast was taken by the Khorasan Unit (IS-K) of the Islamic State terrorist group. Earlier in the year 2021, there were 267 terrorist incidents in Pakistan.
