Delhi Vegetable Mandi Robbery Case: The case of robbery in Sabzi Mandi area of North Delhi has been revealed. Delhi Police has arrested five people including a CISF constable in this case. The accused have been identified as CISF constables Anuj Hira (26), Sagar (32), Tushar (31), Sunil Kumar Sarkar (31) and Manjeet (23). The police gave this information on Tuesday (February 14).
Let us tell you that on February 6, the accused had allegedly looted Rs 32 lakh from the employee of a businessman. The accused carried out the incident wearing police uniform. Police said that Anuj, a constable of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), posted in the security branch of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), had arranged four police uniforms for the robbery.

Police have recovered Rs 4.84 lakh, four uniforms, car used in the crime, fake number plate, a walkie-talkie and mobile phone from the accused. According to the police, the people among the accused carried out the robbery by calling themselves Delhi Police personnel. Deputy Commissioner of Police Sagar Singh Kalsi said that on February 6, the accused had taken hostage Surya Pratap, an employee of PD Gupta, who was providing new notes. A large consignment of notes had reached Gokhale Market, Tis Hazari through transport.

He told that the accused were wearing police uniform at the time of the incident. Sitting in the car, the accused asked Surya about the notes. Later, he was dropped from the car near Gopalpur Burari and fled with the notes. Vegetable market police station registered a case in this regard and started investigation. Apart from the local police, special staff, ATS and other teams of the district were also deployed.

All the notes of the amount of 32 lakhs were in the form of 20-20 rupees. The police knew that this amount would be sold to a businessman or it would be used in a marriage or other event. The police had asked the traders of Delhi NCR to give information on buying notes from unknown people. The main accused Sagar had reached Shahdara market to sell notes. After getting information from here, SI Rohit Saraswat of Special Staff and his team nabbed the accused. On his identification, the rest of the accused were also caught.
