Russia Ukraine War: European Union Chief Ursula Von Der Leyen reached Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. Here Ursula Vaughn visited the war-torn country on Thursday, a day before a Ukraine-European Union summit, with a team of commissioners. Vaughn appealed to Western countries to protect Ukraine from Russian attacks. Here she said that she will stand firmly with Ukraine as always.
European Union Chief Ursula von wrote in a tweet, “I have come to Kyiv for the fourth time since the start of the Russian attack. We will continue our support and cooperation to Ukraine.”
European Union chief Ursula came to Kyiv
Let us tell you that 15 commissioners came to Kyiv on Thursday with Ursula Vaughan, including Joseph Borrell, Chief of the Block’s Foreign Policy. His visit has been described by the European Union as a “strong symbol” of European support for Ukraine in the face of Russia’s “unnecessary and unjustified aggression”.
Good to be back in Kyiv, my 4th time since Russia’s invasion.
This time, with my team of Commissioners.
We are here together to show that the EU stands by Ukraine as firmly as ever.
And to deepen further our support and cooperation. pic.twitter.com/zf8fvoNKnG

EU candidate status for Ukraine
Since the Russian attacks in February 2022, European Union countries have supported Ukraine by imposing a series of economic sanctions on Russia and sending weapons to Ukraine. In June last year, Ukraine was granted candidate status of the European Union.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov raging on EU
Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Thursday accused Western countries of plotting against Moscow and said that they have definitely lost. He also attacked the European Union Chief Ursula Vaughan.
Lavrov said on a TV channel, “Ursula von der Leyen has said that the result of the war should be Russia’s defeat, such a defeat that Russia could not restore its economy for decades, for many decades.” Lavrov said, “Isn’t this racism, isn’t Nazism?”
During this, Lavrov reminded Russia’s victory against Nazi Germany in World War II and said that Western countries have lost.
