FCI sold 9.2 lakh metric tonnes of wheat in the first week, there will be relief in the price of flour soon

Wheat Price In India: The central government is worried about the high prices of wheat in the country. Wheat prices are directly affecting flour. Due to this, the budget of the common man’s kitchen has deteriorated. The central government is continuously taking steps to control these high prices. In this episode, the central government has decided to launch 30 lakh tonnes of wheat in the market. The central government hopes that after such a large quantity of wheat coming in the market, there will be no tension to meet the domestic consumption. With this, the skyrocketing wheat prices will be controlled.

9.2 lakh metric tonnes of wheat sold in the first week
Wheat auction has been started in many states of the country. Food Corporation of India (FCI) is responsible for selling wheat. As per reports, more than 1150 bidders participated in the wheat auction conducted by FCI. About 9.2 lakh metric tonnes of wheat was sold across the country. Soon the remaining wheat will also be auctioned at the level of FCI.

Small and big traders all participated
The auction of wheat was divided into several categories. For example, the auction was fixed for small and big traders. The highest number of bidders in the first week were in the range of 100 to 499 million tonnes. After this traders were present to buy 500-1,000 million tonnes of wheat. After that 50-100 million tonnes of wheat was demanded. Fewer bidders participated in the larger bid. It can be guessed that only 27 bidders placed bids for the maximum quantity of 3000 MT.

22 lakh metric tonnes of wheat offered for sale
The central government does not want to allow the consumption of wheat in the country to decrease under any circumstances. FCI will sell wheat every Wednesday through e-auction. In fact, to bring the rising prices of wheat under control, a committee of ministers under the leadership of Union Home Minister Amit Shah suggested selling wheat through e-auction. Later this action plan was implemented. FCI has offered 22 lakh metric tonnes of wheat out of 25 lakh metric tonnes through e-auction. At the same time, a total of 30 lakh metric tonnes of wheat will be launched in the market. Out of this, 2 lakh metric tonnes of wheat will be given to the states, while 3 lakh metric tonnes will be supplied through central stores and NOFED.

Sale of flour will start from February 6
The central government has made its stand very clear regarding the price of flour and its sale. According to the statement of the Union Food Ministry, cooperative societies like Kendriya Bhandar and Nafed will be able to sell flour at Rs 29.5 per kg. National Cooperative Consumers Federation of India Limited and National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India will start selling flour at this price from 6 February. The common consumer will easily get flour at such a price at government outlets. The common man will be able to get flour only at the rate of Rs 29.5 per kg.
