President Droupadi Murmu Speech: The budget session of the Parliament is starting from today. Before the commencement of the budget session, President Draupadi Murmu gave his address in the joint sitting of both the houses. The President said that this is an opportunity to create an era and we have to make an India where no one is poor. The President said that today India’s confidence is at its peak.
President Murmu said that today India is one of the largest economies of the world. He said that India is getting freedom from corruption. The world’s view of India has changed. India is becoming a medium to solve the problems of the world. He said that such a digital network has been created in India, from which developed countries are taking inspiration.
‘My government gave a befitting reply to the enemies’
The President said that coming out of the discussion of policy paralysis, today the country is being known for rapid development. We have reached number five from the world’s tenth economy. President Murmu also mentioned the actions being taken on the border. He said, “From surgical strikes to tough crackdown on terrorism, from LoC to LAC to befitting response to every misadventure, from removal of Article 370 to triple talaq, the identity of my government has been that of a decisive government.”
The President mentioned the Jal Jeevan Mission
The President also mentioned the ambitious scheme of the government, Jal Jeevan Mission in his address. He said, “About 11 crore families have been connected with piped water supply in three years under the Jal Jeevan Mission. Poor families are getting the maximum benefit from this.”
Draupadi Murmu further said, “From removing bogus beneficiaries from Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile to One Nation One Ration Card, we have made a huge permanent reform. Over the years, in the form of DBT, in the form of Digital India, a permanent and The country has prepared a transparent system.”
‘Earlier had to wait for tax refund’
The President said in his address, “Earlier there was a long wait for tax refund. Today, refund is received within a few days of filing ITR. Today, GST is ensuring transparency as well as the dignity of taxpayers. ” He further said that the India which once depended on others to solve its problems, today has become the medium to solve the problems of the world. The facilities for which a large population of the country waited for decades, they got in these years.
‘Rs 3.5 lakh crore spent for the poor’
President Murmu mentioned another ambitious scheme of the government, the PM Garib Kalyan Scheme. He said that under the PM Garib Kalyan Yojana, the government has spent about three and a half lakh crore rupees for the poor. Today this scheme is being praised all over the world. With the help of technology, its benefits are reaching the beneficiary with transparency in the system.
‘Our government worked for Dalit tribals’
Murmu said that our government has fulfilled the wishes of every society which has been deprived for centuries. Worked for Dalit poor tribals. No work or effort is small. He said, “Small traders do business on street vendors, handcarts and footpaths. Our government appreciated their role and linked them with formal banking. Arrangements were made for cheap and collateral-free loans. So far, loans have been given to about 40 lakh friends. Already happened.
The President said that eleven crore small farmers of the country are also in the priority of my government. They were deprived of priority for decades. Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, assistance of more than 2.25 lakh crore rupees has been given. Among these beneficiaries, about three crore beneficiaries are women. At the same time, the government has done a lot of work for the tribals. Eklavya model schools are being opened in tribal areas. Bandhan Vikas Kendras have become means for livelihood.
