UAE Renamed Al Minhad as Hind City: The name of a district in the United Arab Emirates has been changed. UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on Sunday (January 29) renamed Al Minhad district and its surrounding areas as ‘Hind City’. UAE’s official news agency WAM gave information about the renaming of Minhad district.
According to media reports, the area of ’Hind City’ is spread over an area of 83.9 km. This place is connected by many important roads.
Al Minhad district will be known as ‘Hind City’
According to the report, the city has been divided into four zones – Hind 1, Hind 2, Hind 3 and Hind 4. Including all, this area is spread over an area of about 83.9 km. Hind City is connected to major roads like Emirates Road, Dubai-Al Ain Road and Jebel Ali-Lehbab Road. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who renamed Al Minhad District to ‘Hind City’, is the Vice President, Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as well as the Ruler of Dubai.
The name of Burj Dubai was also changed
Sheikh Mohammed is the third son of Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, former Vice President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai. After the death of his brother Maktoum in 2006, Mohammed took over as vice president and ruler. However, this is not the first time that a decision has been taken to change the name. Earlier in 2010, Burj Dubai was renamed Burj Khalifa after Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi.
