Azerbaijan vacates embassy in Iran after terrorist attack

Embassy staff and their family members have been safely evacuated from Iran following the terrorist attack on the Embassy of Azerbaijan.

Employees of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Tehran and their family members have returned to their country. All of them have reached the country’s capital Baku.

Embassy staff evacuated safely

Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Germany Nasimi Aghayev has given information in this regard by tweeting. Nasimi Aghayev tweeted, “Embassy staff and their family members have been evacuated from Iran following a deadly terrorist attack against the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Tehran. They have all arrived in Baku.”

There was an attack on the Embassy of Azerbaijan

The Embassy of Azerbaijan was attacked on Friday (January 27) in Tehran, the capital of Iran. It was told that a person had carried out the attack with a Kalashnikov style rifle. In this incident, a security guard posted at the Azerbaijan Embassy was killed, while two guards were injured in the attack. Azerbaijan had called it a terrorist attack and said that they would soon evacuate the family present in the embassy safely.

Iranian trucks bombed

Please tell that on Sunday (January 29), Iranian trucks were bombed near the Syria-Iraq border. According to the information, bombs were dropped from the plane on 6 trucks of Iran. Earlier on Saturday, Iran’s military bases were attacked with drones. However, Iran’s Defense Ministry termed it as a failed drone attack.
