The government has increased the income tax exemption limit from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 7 lakh.

For this, the government will spend 10 lakh crores on infrastructure, due to which new employment opportunities will increase. 2 lakh 40 thousand crore rupees have been kept for improving railways and increasing employment. Provision has also been made in the budget to give stipend to 47 lakh youth.
Big announcement for women, senior citizens too
Apart from this, let us also see what is in store for the sections whom the Modi government has made its political power – 2 lakh crore rupees have been kept for the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana. This scheme will benefit 81 crore people. The fund for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has been increased by 66 percent to Rs 79,000 crore. Women will get interest at the rate of 7.5 percent for 2 years in the ‘Women’s Honor Savings Certificate’ scheme, the female population in the country is 71 crore. Senior Citizen Saving Scheme has been increased from 15 lakh to 30 lakh, the population of senior citizens in the country is 10 crore.
Electoral states also took special care
Special attention has also been given to the electoral states in the budget, such as the help of 5300 crores has been announced to deal with the drought of Karnataka. A provision of 10 thousand crores has been made to pay the dues of sugarcane farmers, there are 5 crore sugarcane growers in the country. The Modi government has made a big plan to increase employment and development in rural areas. For this, the target of agricultural loan has been increased to Rs 20 lakh crore.

Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said that this budget empowers 140 crore people and it is in contrast to election budgets in which ‘rewdis’ are distributed. Goyal said, “There is continuity in this budget. The election budget is where ‘revdi’ is distributed. This is a budget to strengthen the country. This budget is preparing India for a bright future.”
Congress President told the election budget
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday said that Union Budget 2023 has been prepared keeping in mind the upcoming elections and has nothing to offer to the poor people of the country. He further said that the government has failed to control inflation and the budget is not for the common people.
