Kerala Transgender Couple: A transgender couple in Kerala has recently given birth to a baby boy. Jahad, a transgender, has now approached the authorities at the hospital asking them to consider the name of the trans father who gave birth to the child as the father in the child’s birth certificate.
In fact, the 23-year-old transgender gave birth to a child and with this got her name registered in the record book. Jahad gave birth to a child in a government hospital. Jahad spoke to the hospital authorities and said, instead of the mother’s name, my name should be registered as the father of the child. Along with this, the name of his female companion Jiya Pawal should be registered as mother.

Jahad’s female companion told the media that she has handed over a letter to the hospital authorities in this context, on which the officials have assured that they will definitely think about it. Jiya Paval said, under the Transgender Person Act 2019, we have the right to change our gender. We have the transgender identity card issued by the central government and hope that the hospital authorities will accept our request. Paul said, the health of Jahad and the newborn is completely fine.
Took the support of surgery to change gender
According to reports, the trans couple resorted to surgery to change their gender. Jiya Paval was a man by birth but became a woman. On the other hand, Jahad was born as a woman but later she decided to become a man. Despite this, Jahad conceived. It is being told that during the surgery to become a man, his uterus and some other organs were not removed.
