Bharat Jodo Yatra: Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ which passed through 12 states and 2 union territories – covering a distance of nearly 3,800 km, will officially end in Srinagar on Monday. Country’s oldest political party Congress has sent invitation to 24 parties for the closing ceremony of this padayatra.
Many parties, including Congress allies, have expressed their inability to attend the closing ceremony of ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’. At the same time, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury again targeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday, as the top leadership of Trinamool Congress (TMC) is also unlikely to attend the event. When Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary was questioned about Mamata Banerjee’s absence at the concluding ceremony of ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, he said, “Our party has invited everyone (to the concluding ceremony of Bharat Jodo Yatra). Whoever wants to fight against Modi should come. Ask Mamta ji why she is not coming.”
Meanwhile, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary, after his remarks, accused Mike of brokerage against the TMC chief. Media persons kept asking whose brokerage you are talking about, then Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary did not say anything further and left. However, earlier Chaudhary had said that only a party like the Congress, with its strong ideological caucus and national-level presence, could counter the communal juggernaut of the BJP.
