Earlier on Sunday, there was a drone attack on a military base in Isfahan city of Iran.
Syrian and other Arab media said on Sunday (January 29) night that an unidentified plane attacked a convoy of Iranian trucks near the al-Qaim crossing on the Syria-Iraq border.

Citing unnamed sources, Saudi’s Al-Arabiya network said 25 trucks had crossed the border from Iraq to Syria before the attack. Syria’s Sham FM radio station and other local media reports that six refrigerator trucks have been targeted. Al-Arabiya said the unidentified aircraft warned the truck drivers before dropping their bombs. According to media reports, the Al-Qaim crossing is controlled by the Iranian militia.

Europe-based Syrian expert Omar Abu Laila said the trucks belonged to Iranian militias and the attacks also targeted Iranian commanders in the Abu Kamal area. Footage circulating online showed a large fire burning in the area. Although the veracity of the video has not been confirmed.
