UNGA President Csaba Korosi to Visit India: United Nations General Assembly President Saba Korosi is visiting India. He will visit India from 29-31 January. During this, UNGA President Saba Korosi (UNGA President Csaba Korosi) will participate in many important meetings. During his official visit, Korosi will also hold talks with India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. Apart from this, he will also discuss India’s water conservation projects with experts.

According to the UNGA statement, Saba Korosi’s visit will also include talks with government officials, scientists and academics.

Visit of UNGA President to India

United Nations General Assembly President Saba Korosi is set to pay an official visit to India from January 29 to 31 and will hold important meetings on the priorities of the General Assembly. During his visit, the UNGA president will meet with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in New Delhi, while also taking up the issues raised during their last meeting in December.

Will also talk to scientists and educationists

UNGA President Korosi will visit the G20 Secretariat in India and meet a delegation led by G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant.
According to the UNGA statement, his visit will also include talks with government officials, leading national scientists and academics, and field visits related to sustainable water use. UNGA President Korosi will also pay floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat during his visit to India.

What is the primary purpose of the trip?

In between his public appearances in Delhi, Korosi will deliver a public speech on ‘Solidarity, Sustainability and Solutions through Science’ at the Indian Council of World Affairs under the theme of his priorities for the current General Assembly session. The primary goal of the visit is to build links between the General Assembly and science, particularly on water, ahead of the UN-Water Conference in March.

Will visit the water project site in Bangalore

The UNGA President will discuss India’s water conservation projects with senior officials and experts from the National Institute for Transforming India (NITI Aayog). Saba Korosi is also scheduled to make a field visit to Bengaluru during his visit to India, where he will visit a water project site. He will also interact with national scientists and academicians at the Indian Institute of Science.

After visiting India, UNGA President Korosi will go to China, where he will visit the International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals.
