I Am About 80% Fit Says Jofra Archer: Jofra Archer, who has been out of competitive cricket for a long time due to injury, has given a surprising statement about his fitness. After his statement, the fans are asking whether he will not be seen in the IPL this season as well? Please tell that Mumbai Indians had bought Joffra Archer in the IPL 2022 auction for a huge amount, but due to injury, he could not participate in the league.
Fast bowler Joffra Archer is desperate to return to the England team after being out for a long time due to injury. He said that he is 80 percent fit and is ready to repeat his performance of 2019 World Cup and Ashes.
Jofra Archer is part of England’s 14-member squad for the three-match ODI series against South Africa starting on Friday. This fast bowler last played international cricket for England in 2021.
Jofra Archer was quoted as saying by cricket website ESPN Cricinfo, “Hopefully it can be a repeat of 2019. We have again got a 50-over World Cup and an Ashes in the same year. There is no reason to look back.” I have done my time and now I am here.”
Jofra Archer made a competitive return to cricket in South Africa’s T20 league earlier this month, where he scalped eight wickets in five matches. The 27-year-old’s injury break has thrown doubt over his future in the longest format but the speedster is targeting the Ashes series this summer.
He further said, “I need to spend the next two, three or four months to recover my body, so that I can make myself a little stronger. Let me recover my body first, after which I can play the red ball.” I can hope to hold it in my hand again.”
