According to a report, two women players of Bangladesh cricket team have been accused of involvement in spot-fixing. A media channel in Bangladesh has leaked an audio clip of these two players, in which both are being heard talking about spot-fixing.

According to the report of Dhaka-based TV channel Jamuna TV, Bangladeshi player Lata Mandal has complained to the Bangladesh Cricket Board that one of her senior players, Shohle Akhtar, has offered her spot-fixing. Let us tell you that this matter of spot-fixing has come to the fore after the Bangladesh-Australia match in the T20 World Cup on 14 February.
According to the report, Shohale Akhtar was told by a bookie that all the players of Bangladesh cricket team are corrupt. To prove this wrong, Shohle offered Lata Mandal to do spot-fixing. According to the report, in the leaked audio, Shohle told Lata that there is nothing to fear. I will not harm you.

Apart from this, Shohle is telling Lata to fix whenever you want and don’t when you don’t. Shohle further told Lata that, if you perform well in one match, then stumping or hit wicket can happen in the next. However, Lata said in response that, I do not want to get into all these things. I can’t do this. Please don’t tell me all these things. After that Lata Mandal has complained about this to BCB, after which this matter has come to the notice. A BCB official has told sports website ESPN Cricinfo that he and the ICC’s Anti-Corruption Unit are probing the matter and their players know what they should and should not do.
