RCB’s Coaching Staff WPL 2023: Preparations for the Women’s Premier League are progressing slowly. The auction was held on Monday, February 13, for this tournament starting from March 4. In this, Royal Challengers Bangalore hit the biggest hand. Bengaluru made Smriti Mandhana a part of their team by paying a price of 3.4 crores. Meanwhile, Bengaluru has also announced the coaching staff for its women’s team.
Responsibility assigned to these giants
RCB has entrusted the responsibility of head coach to Ben Swire. At present, Ben Swire is the coach of the New Zealand Women’s team. Ben Swire, 45, also coaches Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred. Apart from this, she has worked as the head coach of the Sydney Sixers in the Women’s Big Bash League.
Apart from this, 33-year-old Malolan Rangarajan has been selected as the assistant head coach and head of scouting of the team. At the same time, VR Vanitha has been appointed as fielding coach and scout. Apart from this, RS Murali has been appointed as the batting coach.
RCB had made the biggest bid
RCB made the first and most expensive bid in the Women’s Premier League auction. He made Smriti Mandhana, the star player of the Indian team, a part of his team. After this, he placed big bids on many other players. Players like Alice Perry (Rs 1.7 crore), Renuka Singh (Rs 1.5 crore) and Richa Ghosh (Rs 1.9 crore) were included in this.
